2009 International Workshop on Wireless Multimedia Computing and Security Services
(WIMUCS 2009)
Wireless multimedia computing (WMC) has emerged as a major area of research. Wireless multimedia services (WMS) allow people to access rich multimedia content anytime, anywhere, using different access networks and different computing devices. It is anticipated that wireless multimedia computing will change the way we operate and interact with the world with the development of numerous interesting wireless multimedia applications. The new possibilities of wireless multimedia computing pose several research challenges. One of the challenges is security issue in wireless multimedia service.
This workshop will focus on the challenges and solutions for wireless computing with emphasis on forthcoming multimedia applications and security services. The workshop will provide an opportunity for academic and industry professionals to discuss the latest issues and progress in area of not only WMC but also its security services. The workshop is intended to encourage cooperation among academicians and researchers in secure WMS, and push the theoretical and practical research forward for a deeper understanding in WMC and security services.
WIMUCS 2009 is a next event of the special session on Multimedia in Ubiquitous Computing and Security Services (MUCASS 2008) of the International Symposium on Ubiquitous Multimedia Computing (UMC 2008), held in Oct. 2008 in Hobart, Australia.
WIMUCS 2009 will be in conjunction with the 2nd International Conference on Computer Science and its Applications (CSA 2009) in Jeju Island, Korea.
The Authors Instructions and Registration information for CSA 2009 and its Workshops including WIMUCS-2009 are available in CSA 2009 Website.
