The 2011 International Convergence Workshop on Intellectual Property and Information Security (IPIS 2011)
URL: http://web.ftrai.org/ipis2011/
Abstract
The IPIS 2011 will be the most comprehensive workshop focused on the various aspects of Intellectual Property and Information Security (IPIS 2011). The IPIS 2011 provides a forum for academic and industry professionals to present novel ideas and convergence topics on the areas of Intellectual Property and Information Security (IPIS). In addition, the workshop will publish high quality papers which are closely related to the various theories, modeling, and practical applications in IPIS. Furthermore, we expect that the workshop and its publications will be a trigger for further related research and technology improvements in this important subject.
The 1st International Workshop on Security & Trust for Applications in Virtualised Environments (STAVE 2011)
Co-organizers: Eamonn Power, Patsy Phelan, Barry Mulcahy
URL: http://ict-passive.eu/stave
Abstract
Virtualisation technologies offer many benefits to IT organisations today and into the future. These technologies allow organisations to increase the utilisation of their IT infrastructure while lowering the overall costs of ownership and accelerating the return on investment.
As virtualisation increases the sharing of compute, network and I/O resources with multiple users and applications in order to drive higher utilisation rates, this replaces the traditional physical isolation boundaries with virtual ones. This fundamental change in isolation boundaries introduces new risk vectors for data leakage, cross-contamination as well as new requirements for the auditing and monitoring of such virtualised systems.
The 1st FTRA International Workshop on Convergence Security in Pervasive Environments (IWCS 2011)
Co-organizers: Jose A. Onieva, Charalabos Skianis, Kyusuk Han, Rodrigo Roman Castro
URL: http://www.ftrai.org/iwcs2011/
Abstract
A recent emerging issue in information technology is the convergence of different kinds of applications. Convergence brings a user-centric environment to provide computing and communication services. In order to realize IT advantages, it requires the integration of security and data management to be suitable for pervasive computing environments. However, there are still many problems and major challenges waiting for us to solve such as the security risks in convergence application, which could appear when devices interact with different kinds of applications. Therefore, we need to explore convergence security in pervasive environments.
IWCS 2011 addresses the various theories and practical applications of convergence security in pervasive environments. It will present important results of significant value in order to improve application services and solve various problems within the scope of IWCS 2011. In addition, we expect it will trigger further related research and technology developments that will improve our lives in the future.

Workshops for presenting papers from industrial companies and papers on implementations of systems and services are very welcome. It is expected that the proceedings of the workshop programs will be published in the Springer CCIS and/or LNCS proceedings (Confirmed) (EI and ISTP), which will be indexed by the following services: EI Compendex(Since 2010), ISI Conference Proceedings Citation Index - Science (CPCI-S), included in ISI Web of Science, DBLP and Scopus. .
In general, a workshop takes one day, although multiple-days and half-day workshops are welcome.
The workshop proposal should include following information:
1. Title of the workshop: International Workshop on ...
2. Workshop Organizers(s): name, affiliation, address, phone and fax numbers, e-mail.
3. Brief description of the workshop (several hundred words)
4. Expected number of papers to be submitted
5. Call for paper of the workshop (draft version - 1 page CFP MS Word version)
6. Tentative list of program committee members (Name, affiliation, country, email address)
7. Your workshop web address (Tentative)
Each workshop will start to distribute a call for paper after receiving the notification. Papers submitted to each workshop will be reviewed by the program committee and external reviewers of the workshop.
Financial Supports for Workshop Organizer:
If workshops are constructed successfully, the organizer (One organizer per workshop) will get:
- At least 10 papers registration: 1 Free registration
- At least 20 papers registration: 2 Free registration.
