Smartphone 2010 CFP =========================================================== The 2010 International Workshop on Smartphone Applications and Services (Smartphone 2010) http://www.ftrg.org/smartphone2010 Gwangju, Korea, December 9-11, 2010 ========================================================== Overview =========== The 2010 International Workshop on Smartphone Applications and Services (Smartphone 2010) will be held in Gwangju, Korea, December 9-11, 2010. Smartphone 2010 will be the most comprehensive workshop focused on advances in Smartphone applications and services. Smartphone is an outcome of a state of the art and novel mobile technologies that includes highly capable handheld device or cell-phone with advanced features such as iPhone OS, Android, Linux Mobile, Windows Mobile/Phone operation system, access to the Internet, and other computer-like processing capabilities similar to personal computer. Recently, smartphones have been widely used and are reaching over 4 billion subscribers these days due to their innovative capabilities of supporting many interesting/valuable applications and handheld mobile Internet service. Most of researchers predict smartphone will have a portion about 40 % among whole mobile handsets. On the other hand the rapid growing trends of smartphones throughout the past few years have contributed to increasing Pervasive Computing (PC) for providing a variety of convergence services, playing a key role to connect with smart and intelligent computing devices. The goal of this issue is to bring together the state of the art research contribution that describes original and unpublished work addressing for Smartphone Applications and Services technologies for PC. It will reflect the state-of-the-art of the various smartphone applications and services, open market place for smartphone applications, smartphone platforms, smartphone security of new processing techniques in engineering, science, and other disciplines related to the smartphone applications and services for pervasive computing.
